How does Alma TED work without needles?+

TED stands for TransEpidermal Delivery. It uses acoustic sound waves and air pressure to create temporary pathways through the scalp, allowing a serum of growth factors to reach the follicle. Nothing punctures the skin, which is what separates it from PRP.

How is this different from PRP?+

PRP requires drawing your blood, spinning it in a centrifuge, then injecting it into the scalp with needles. TED delivers growth factors through the skin using ultrasound. No blood draw, no injections, no swelling afterward. In the Hicksville area PRP typically runs $500 to $1,500 per session.

How many sessions will I need?+

Most clients see visible improvement after three sessions, spaced roughly four weeks apart. Some continue with additional sessions depending on the degree of thinning and their goals. We will assess this during your consultation.

Does it work for women as well as men?+

Yes. Female pattern thinning, widening part lines and postpartum shedding all respond well. Several of the results shown above are female clients.

Is there any downtime?+
